Valentina is an Italian Designer and Artist. Her wide background and interests brought her closer to the Arts since childhood as she took Music and Dance classes while her studies in Art were taking place.
She graduated in Architecture and Furnishing at the “Mario Mafai” Art High School and successively trained in Scenography (both for Theatre and Screen) at the Rome Academy of Fine Arts. Where she realised her big interest is in how the Visual Arts relates and connects to a real physical space and human body shape, which obstacles or possibilities exist within different physicalities and which ones can be explored.
In 2012 after having alredy moved the first step in the industry in Rome she moved to London to pursue and develop further her practice as Designer. She started to cooperate with different Theatre, TV, Events, Advertising and Films productions transferring skills and practices across media where appropriate, in order to challenge herself and create something unique and different.
In 2016 she designed Treasure Island for Iris Theatre at the St' Paul's Church in Covent Garden, which has won the Offie Award 2017 as Best Production for Young People (8+).
She was also awarded Winner of Excellence in Set Design Fall 2016 at the Depth of Field Int. Film Festival with Scriptorium for LittleDragons Films, Direction by Colin Ramsay.
